15 Groups To Donate To That Support Protesters And Black Lives
Donations aren't everything, but they're a start.
If you're looking for groups to donate to that focus on social justice for black communities and people, this list is a starter. However, it is by no means a definitive list of organizations that are worthy of donations and volunteers right now.
There are many more things you can do in addition to donations, including signing petitions, calling your representatives, organizing in your community, and going out and supporting protesters, especially black protesters.
1. Black Lives Matter
This donation page will allow you to support the international Black Lives Matter movement, which is working to eradicate white supremacy and support black communities in the fight against oppression.
2. Campaign Zero
Campaign Zero focuses on police reform by working to limit police interventions, demilitarize police forces, push for more training and an effort to limit use of force, in addition to other approaches.
3. North Star Health Collective
This St. Paul-based group was founded in response to the Republican National Convention held in St. Paul in 2008, and it offers medical assistance to protesters with a focus on anti-oppression and anti-authoritarian efforts. In addition to monetary donations, they also accept specific medical supplies as listed on their website.

4. Anti Police-Terror Project

The APTP helps document police abuse and provides resources, support, and legal referrals for victims of police abuse, particularly in communities of color.
5. The Sadie Collective
The Sadie Collective works to connect black women in fields like economics, finance, data science, and public policy, to name a few. By providing resources and a space to connect, the group aims to help black women at various academic and professional levels and increase visibility in demanding fields.
6. Loveland Foundation Therapy Fund
The Loveland Foundation Therapy Fund raises money to provide free therapy and counseling to black women and girls and help destigmatize mental health treatment.
7. The Bail Project
The Bail Project aims to fight mass incarceration by helping those in need of assistance to post bail and return to their families. The group emphasizes that "100% of online donations are used to bring people home" and that these donations can be recycled and reused since bail payments return to the fund at the end of a case.
8. The National Bail Fund Network

The National Bail Fund Network includes individual bail funds for more than 60 communities across the country. On their website, you'll find a list of area-specific bail funds in their network, divided into pretrial and immigration funds. Bear in mind that some bail funds may currently be directing supporters toward bail funds in other areas that need help.
9. Project South

Project South is a social justice organization with a focus on the Southern region of the US, working both locally and regionally to eradicate poverty, protect black lives, and fight for immigrant rights.
10. Color of Change
Color of Change fights for racial justice on multiple fronts, including criminal justice reform, representation in media, voting rights, and more.
11. Communities United Against Police Brutality

CUAPB operates a 24-hour crisis line (612-874-STOP) where people can report police abuse, and it sends out representatives who help victims of police abuse, gather evidence, and offer legal, medical, and psychological referrals as needed. They also operate educational outreach programs, work to get measures on ballots, and organize protests and rallies.
12. Black Visions Collective
This Minnesota-based group supports black leadership and local campaigns from the ground up, in addition to advocating every day to shift and advance the public narrative to effect change.
13. NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund
This nonprofit group seeks racial justice through advocacy, community education, and litigation, and also aims to improve the diversity and quality of judges in the US legal system. It also runs a scholarship program to help get students into quality schools, including law programs.
14. Reclaim the Block
Reclaim the Block is a Minneapolis-based organization with a mission to redistribute city funding away from the police department and into areas that help community health and safety.

This GoFundMe effort is organized by George Floyd's brother, Philonise Floyd, and is being used to cover funeral and related expenses as well as legal expenses as the family seeks justice for George's death. Some of the fund will also go to the estate of George Floyd to help provide care and education for his children.
