Let's get this universal truth out of the way: Everybody has told a lie before.
Sometimes you get away with it and escape unscathed.
And sometimes you're not so lucky.
Maybe it started out small, like an attempt at canceling plans or an excuse to call out of work, and just snowballed out of control.
