Oscars > sequester, at least for one night.

1. Elizabeth Warren rooted for native Massachusetts resident Ben Affleck to win.

2. Niki Tosangas supported “Invisible War,” a documentary about sexual assault in the military she has often cited to raise awareness.

3. Congressman Mike Turner was also rooting for the film.

4. Congressman Scott Peters was very excited about “Inocente” winning for best short documentary.

5. As was Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who had previously met the filmmaker.

6. Ros-Lehtinen also ate Red Lobster.

7. Congressman Eliot Engel congratulated best director winner Ang Lee, who lives in his district.

8. Senator Chris Murphy “congratulated” Congressman Joe Courtney on “Argo’s” win.

Courtney was upset that Lincoln incorrectly showed Connecticut congress members voting against the 13th Amendment, which is why Murphy congratulated him for its defeat.

9. And, like many viewers, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz did not approve of Seth MacFarlane’s crude jokes.
