Carly Fiorina: Trump Muslim Ban "Tramples On Our Constitution"

"It tramples on our Constitution to say, 'We're going to have a religious test. We're going to ban everybody based on their religion.'"

Former Hewlett Packard executive Carly Fiorina said her rival for the Republican presidential nomination Donald Trump's plan to ban Muslim immigration to the United States would trample on the Constitution.

"Well, you know, I'm a constitutional conservative, as I think most of your listeners are, so I get really frustrated when I hear Barack Obama, who I think has no plan to defeat ISIS, tramples on our constitution and starts talking about taking away our Second Amendment rights," Fiorina said on Mickelson in the Morning on Tuesday.

Fiorina said Trump, who is leading in all the Republican primary polls by a large margin, was also trampling on the Constitution.

"The thing is, I think Donald Trump is doing the same thing," she said. "I think Donald Trump has no plan to deal with ISIS. He has never outlined a plan. But he's trampling on our Constitution. It tramples on our Constitution to say, 'We're going to have a religious test. We're going to ban everybody based on their religion.'"

"And I don't think we're going to solve this problem by trampling on our Constitution. I have a plan to deal with ISIS," she continued. "What we need is competent plan and a competent leader to deal with ISIS."
