BJP politicians and ministers in Madhya Pradesh sent congratulations that were meant for recent Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi to Madhya Pradesh MLA Kailash Vijayvargiya instead.
Vijayvargiya was thought to have won the award by several politicians and ministers in the BJP ruled state. He posited that the mistake was due to "his humanitarian work."
The minister was apparently not embarrassed by the blunder. He said there was likely confusion because he is more well known in Madhya Pradesh than the Nobel laureate.
Kailash Satyarthi, who the praise should've gone to, is himself also from Madhya Pradesh.
