A Widow Selling Her House Has Offered To Marry Whoever Buys It

Wina Lia said her realtor suggested it, and she agreed because she was looking for a new husband anyway.

A woman in Indonesia has decided to sell her house, and just to sweeten the deal, has added herself to the sale.

The ad by Wina Lia, the homeowner, has an asking price of roughly $76,500, but adds, "Buyers who don't negotiate the price can ask the owner to marry (terms and conditions apply)."

The ad explains that if you buy the house you would have the option to ask Lia to marry you.

Since she posted the ad, it’s gone hugely viral. Dian Purna Dirgantara, the realtor behind the stunt, stated to Time that the advertisement has been quite successful.

“Since yesterday morning there are continuous calls, I don’t count how many, there must be dozens or even hundreds,” Dirgantara said. Although he clarified that it's not necessary the deal has to involve marriage. “If someone just wants the house, they can have that,” he told Time.

Wina, who is a single mother, stated to local news site Kompass, that the idea behind the ad emerged when she once mentioned that she wanted to find a partner. She told the website, “Dian suggested I put up the tagline ‘Buy the house and marry the owner at the same time.’ And I said OK to it. I’m looking for a husband anyway.”

The house comes equipped with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a parking space, and a fish pond, and is located near the Javanese city of Yogyakarta.
