On Thursday Humans of Bombay uploaded this photo of Nihal, a 14-year-old kid who suffers from progeria, a rare genetic disorder which manifests symptoms of ageing at a very early age.
The post has been shared more than 8,000 times in under 24 hours, and has been flooded with supportive comments.
In the post, Nihal says that even though he was diagnosed with the condition when he was barely a year old, his parents treated him like any other child.
And even though he doesn't go to school much now, he says, he does have a lot of friends.
Overall, Nihal explains, there are some people out there that don't understand his disorder and they make fun of him. But that's OK – it doesn't bother him.
"The way I look at it," he says, "I've been given a finite time to do everything I love every single day without fear."
