Priyanka Chopra Is Now The Voice Of PETA's Life-Sized Robot Elephant

Is there anything she can't do?

Ellie, a 6.5-foot-tall robot elephant, which is voiced by Priyanka Chopra, is PETA's way of teaching primary school students that elephants don't belong in the circus.

Ellie will begin a tour through the U.S., Europe and India, and will tell her story about being separated from her mother at a young age, and the physical abuse she faced while at the circus.

"Elephants are truly magnificent creatures, who desperately need our help and protection," Chopra said.

"Ellie and I are teaching kids that elephants belong in the wild with their families and that they suffer greatly in captivity, in which they're kept chained, forced to learn tricks, and deprived of all the things that make them happy, like family and freedom," she added. "I couldn't be more proud to join PETA in bringing Ellie's story to life for children everywhere, with the hope of instilling the idea of compassion and kindness for living creatures of all kinds," she concluded.
