During the last week, Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu have been facing one of the worst storms to hit the area in decades.

And since the floods began, a video has been circulating that shows a truck drowning in the alleged deluge Chennai is facing.

Many publications reported the news, before realising that the video was a fake. After which, the news spread like wildfire, as people began sharing it through WhatsApp and on social media.

The video has actually emerged a number of times in previous years.

This video which was uploaded on November 16 claims to have been filmed on November 26.
