Thousands Have Shared This Short Story About An Auto Driver's Tribute To Chennai

    There are heroes Bollywood won't show you.

    This past weekend, Mumbai-based designer Shalini Girish was in an auto-rickshaw in Mumbai when she received a phone-call on which she spoke in Tamil.

    When they arrived at her destination, she tried to pay her fare, but her driver turned it away. "Use this money to help the people of your city in any way possible," he said in Hindi. "I'm poor so this is all I can give. May Allah keep them safe."

    Shalini posted her heartwarming story on Facebook on Sunday, and within 24 hours it's been shared over 1,700 times. Here it is:
