1. The Fault in Our Stars and Divergent

The first fandom crossover occurs In The Fault In Our Stars where Shailene Woodley plays Hazel, a teenage girl with cancer who is forced to attend a support group. She meets and falls in love with Gus (played by Ansel Elgort). Both actors are also in Divergent where Shailene Woodley plays Tris Prior and Ansel Elgort plays her brother, Caleb Prior. That definitely makes for an interesting family.

2. Divergent and The Spectacular Now

In Divergent, Miles Teller plays Peter. Peter is an initiate who threatens to throw Tris Prior into the chasm to her death. In The Spectacular Now Miles Teller plays Sutter. Shailene Woodley plays Aimee, the girl Sutter falls in love with. So her brother, her enemy, and Theo James? I wonder if Shailene Woodley ever gets confused on the set of Divergent.

3. Doctor Who

Georgia Moffett is the daughter of Peter Davison, who played the fifth Doctor. She went to school with Colin Baker's daughter. (Colin Baker played the sixth Doctor). Then she married David Tennant (who played the tenth Doctor.) She starred in the episode "The Doctor's Daughter" as the tenth Doctor's daughter. Then she gave birth to the Doctor's daughter (and a son). I won't even try to sum this one up. It's too confusing.

4. Supernatural and Doctor Who

In Doctor Who, the eleventh Doctor (played by the charming Matt Smith) has a companion named Amy Pond. Amy Pond is played by Karen Gillian. In the Supernatural episode "The Girl Next Door," there is a character named Amy Pond played by Jewel Staite. Amy Pond (the Supernatural version) is a monster. Or more accurately, she is a kitsune, a creature that feeds on human brains and pituitary glands. I see what you did there. You go Supernatural writers.

5. Doctor Who and Harry Potter and Twilight

David Tennant plays the tenth Doctor in Doctor Who. He also plays Barty Crouch Jr. in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. In the movie, Barty Crouch Jr. impersonates Mad Eye Moody and rigs the Triwizard Tournament. When Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory, played by Robert Pattinson (who plays Edward Cullen in Twilight) touched the Triwizard Cup, they were transported to Voldemort. In the graveyard, Cedric Diggory was murdered at Lord Voldemort's orders. So, basically the Doctor helped kill the sparkly vampire.

6. Once Upon A Time and Ways To Live Forever

Ways To Live Forever stars Robbie Kay as Sam and Alex Etel as Felix, two preteen boys with leukemia. The two best friends have a private instructor who asks them to come up with ways to live forever. In one of the lessons, she hands them a Peter Pan book. Robbie Kay later goes on to play Peter Pan in Once Upon A Time.

7. The Twilight Zone and 3rd Rock From The Sun

William Shatner starred in The Twilight Zone episode "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" in 1963. He played Mr. Robert Wilson, a man on a flight home who sees something out of the airplane's window while it is flying. John Lithgow played John Valentine (a renamed version of Shatner's character) in "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" in The Twilight Zone movie. When William Shatner starred in 3rd Rock From The Sun as the supreme leader Big Giant Head, he described his trip to Earth as horrifying because he saw something on the wing of the plane. John Lithgow who played Dr. Dick Solomon stated he too had that experience. It's definitely clever.
