New York City is home to an overwhelming amount of restaurants, which is not ideal for the indecisive eater who doesn't feel like devoting hours of their time to Yelp.

So if you're planning a trip to NYC or just moved here and don't know where to go, then here it is — all of the food spots that BuzzFeed NY swears by.

    1. Maiella LIC

    2. B&H Dairy

    3. Xi’an Famous Foods

    Caleb Chin / BuzzFeed

"I am a brute who generally doesn't care about food and will eat literally anything/the same thing for days in a row...but I go to Xi’an Famous Foods for their spicy and tingly beef hand-ripped noodles when I want to treat myself (the one in East Village specifically, just because it's closest). The flavor is bold, the texture of the noodles is magnificent, and the chili oil is genuinely spicy but still manageable. The portions are also pretty generous for just around $10." —Caleb Chin

Menu highlights: Spicy cumin lamb burger, lamb pao-mo soup, spicy and tingly beef hand-ripped noodles

    4. Sugar Freak

    5. Tofu Tofu

    6. My Cuban Spot

    Mallory Mower / BuzzFeed

"My Cuban Spot is the best hole-in-the-wall I’ve found on my many aimless walks through the streets of Brooklyn. If you blink you’d miss it, if it weren’t for the fantastic smell of pulled pork and plantains coming through the small counter. There are dozens of menu items like the This Little Piggy Needs Bread sandwich and the I’m Broke Bitch bowl that’ll fill you up for the rest of the day without sacrificing your paycheck, and their desserts are dreadfully drool-worthy (flan, Nutella empanadas, and tres leches). Do yourself a favor and book a trip to Brooklyn just to hit up this perfect snack spot." —Mallory Mower

Menu highlights: Guava and cheese empanada, El Cubano, I'm Broke Bitch (rice with three fried eggs)

    16. The Commodore

    17. Barbounia

    18. Lilia

    Melanie Aman / BuzzFeed

"As someone who has a very low bar for the types of carbs I will put in my body, it seems silly that I would line up outside an Italian restaurant 45 minutes before it opens when I could just boil a pot of water at home. But the pasta at Lilia — and, more importantly, the focaccia — is worth waiting for. And even after you've eaten enough pasta (and fried cacio e pepe balls) to the point of feeling like you're about to burst, I suggest ordering the chocolate torta, which you will 100% not want to share with your dinner date." —Melanie Aman

Menu highlights: Ricotta gnocchi, grilled veal flank steak, chocolate torta

Address: 567 Union Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222

    19. Sunday in Brooklyn

    AnaMaria Glavan / BuzzFeed

"Okay, so admittedly...I didn't want to like this place because everyone and their Instagram-having mother seems to have been here. Call me pretentious! Maybe I am! But I fell in love the moment I bit into the above pancakes, which were drizzled with brown butter and hazelnut maple praline. I didn't understand the true meaning of 'melts in your mouth' until my love affair with the above brunch dish began." —AnaMaria Glavan

Menu highlights: Sunday Pancakes, warm brown rice bowl, s'mores soft serve

Address: 348 Wythe Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11249

    20. Saraghina

    21. Claro

    22. The Fat Radish

    AnaMaria Glavan / BuzzFeed

"I LOOOVE the Fat Radish; it’s a cute little spot in the Lower East Side with incredible cocktails and delicious and creative seasonal dishes! Supposedly it’s British-ish but I haven’t found anything that didn’t make me exclaim something like 'this is SO GOOD' out loud. I don’t go there all that often — it’s a little pricey for me — but it’s one of my frequent choices for special occasions." —Natalie Brown

Menu highlights: Housemade donuts, grilled cheese, crispy trout

Address: 17 Orchard St, New York, NY 10002

    23. Treadwell Park

    24. Westville
