5 Things Democrats Voted Not To Fund During The Shutdown

What’s next, puppies?

Earlier today, the White House issued a formal veto threat on 5 piecemeal bills. These bills were passed by the House to fund various government programs during the shutdown. Harry Reid and Senate Democrats are standing with the White House.

So what won’t be funded in order for the Democrats to make a political statement?

1. The WWII Memorial

H.J. Res. 70: Open Our National Parks and Museums Act

That Didn’t Stop These WWII Vets Though…

These men stormed the beaches of Normandy. A metal barrier won’t stop them.

2. Children With Cancer

H.J. Res. 73: Research for Lifesaving Cures Act

No Really…

When asked “If you could save just one child with cancer, would you do it?” Harry Reid responded: “Why would we want to do that?”

3. The District of Columbia

H.J. Res. 71: Provide Local Funding for the District of Columbia Act

Yes, The Entire City.

4. The National Guard

H.J. Res. 73: Pay Our Guard and Reserve Act

5. Veterans

H.J. Res. 72: Honoring Our Promise To America’s Veterans Act

Yes, VETERANS

Thanks Guys….
