1. A Revlon one-step hair dryer and volumizer hot air brush to assist you in getting the perfect blowout in *half* the time.

amazon.com

The brush is designed with nylon pin and tufted bristles to help with detangling, improving volume and control, while also smoothing the hair. The 1,100-watt power heat can be placed closer to the scalp than your typical hair dryer, helping you get those roots. And this handy device has three heat/speed settings to adjust to your needs.

"I wait until my hair is about 80% dry and work this brush through small sections — the same way I would if I were using a regular flat iron. I don't even need to apply any styling products to my hair to end up with straight hair that doesn't look thin and plastered to my scalp! I've found that pulling the brush SLOWLY through sections of hair helps me so I make fewer passes and still end up with the same sleek look." —Jasmin Suknanan

2. A portable baby changing pad, because you never know where you're gonna be when your little one needs a diaper change. This convenient fold-up pad has enough storage for diapers, wipes, and clothes so you can feel extra prepared.

amazon.com

"This was an early purchase for our first child and well into year two, this changing pad is still coming through and still saving us time. How you might ask? It's a twofold timesaver. First, you'll quickly learn that leaving your home with a baby is a time-consuming ordeal (every single time). The best thing to do is have as much prepped as possible before the thought of leaving even enters your mind. This changing pad doubles as a bag that can fit multiple diapers, wipes, and a change of clothes. As long as this is with you (we keep it in the stroller) you know you are set and can leave the house ASAP. The second time saver? When a diaper erupts you don't have to look all around for changing tables that aren't where they're supposed to be (try finding one in any men's room)." —John Mihaly

3. Glossier's Brow Flick pen that'll help you easily fill and define your brows exactly how you want them with thin and natural-looking strokes.

Glossier

If you're looking for more products to get the perfect brows, be sure to check out their best-selling Boy Brow ($16) or save a few bucks and grab the Boy Brow + Brow Flick bundle ($30).

"I've lived many eyebrow lives until this point: the not-filled in at all, the filled in WAY TOO HARSHLY AND DARK (major regret), and most recently, the 'just a few sweeps of brow mascara.' But when Glossier launched Brow Flick, I really wanted to try it and see if it filled in my brows a little more than just gel does, without looking tooooooooo over-the-top. My perfect face of makeup is a heavy-ish brow, mascara, and a red lip, but finding the right balance for your forehead caterpillars can be a major challenge. I have bushy-ish brows, but the front of them (closest to my nose) is a very sparse swirl, making it look like my brows don't even start where they should.

Tl;dr: I LOVE this pen! It's really easy to apply in short, hair-like strokes, and the fluid doesn't come pouring out quickly so you don't make mistakes. I like a dramatic brow look (as you can see lol), but you can defs do a more natural one! Thanks to the really fine tip and not-too-inky formula, it's VERY easy to build up! Just a few quick strokes (easier and more natural looking than a brow pencil, I found), a couple brushes with your favorite brow gel (Boy Brow is great, and Glossier sells Boy Brow and Brow Flick in a set, saving you some bucks!)." —Maitland Quitmeyer

Get it from Glossier for $18 (available in three shades).

4. A water bottle with colorful rubber bands to help you keep track of your daily water intake and make sure that you're staying hydrated — plus, it's just really cute.

Samantha Wieder / BuzzFeed

"I’m someone who genuinely enjoys drinking water. I’m not into soda or sports drinks, and other than a cup of coffee or herbal tea, I always try to drink enough water throughout the day, but I always feel as if I’m never drinking enough. I’ve tried to track my water intake through the Plant Nanny app several times, but I’m not a very good virtual plant mom (welp!), and I’ve tried to set alarm reminders on my phone, but then they’ll go off when I’m in the middle of doing something and I forget. That’s where this tumbler comes in. I’ve seen it numerous times on Amazon, and because I am bored in the house, and in the house bored, these days I’m tempted to buy anything and everything on Amazon… so, I did it.

I’m not going to lie, my expectations for both this tumbler and myself were low. I could never succeed at taking care of a cute little plant on my iPhone, HOW would I succeed at moving some rubber bands off a water bottle? There was no way this could actually work. Boy, was I wrong. I’ve had this for three weeks now, and for three consecutive weeks have drank eight of these a day, every.single.day. It’s become a fun little daily challenge to work my way through all of the rubber bands. Each time I finish drinking all the water in the tumbler, I slide a rubber band off, and wear it on my wrist, and it actually feels SO rewarding. I also feel so much better keeping up with my daily water intake and knowing that I’m staying hydrated." —Samantha Wieder

5. A crossbody phone case wallet you'll love for those quick errands or walks when you really don't want to lug around your purse. This is perfect for holding your phone and cards while remaining hands- and hassle-free.

Amazon

“I’m obsessed with this phone case. I’ve been using it for the past six months, but it’s been so great to have during quarantine. The pocket makes it so useful. I keep my ID and credit card in and then don’t need to carry a purse when I go anywhere. I just add the strap, and am good to go. It’s so convenient because I really don’t need much when I leave the house to go for a walk or to the grocery store. Plus, it looks so chic. I used it when I was in Paris back in January, and the strap kept it secure, even as I was taking pictures over the edge of the Eiffel Tower. It’s a splurge, but it’s def worth it for the quality and convenience that comes with it.” —Abby Kass

6. A pair of Saucony running shoes that'll keep your feet comfy and supported during your morning jogs.

Amazon

"I've had these sneakers for about a month and can't believe I was walking around wearing anything else. I can tell the cushioning in these bad boys absorbs impact and reduces pressure because I am very prone to shin splints, but have yet to experience that while sporting these on my daily half-hour power-walks." —Taylor Steele

Get them from Amazon for $55+ (available in 5–12, including wide sizes, and seven colors).

7. A Breville espresso machine so you can basically avoid ever having to go to the coffee shop again. This fancy machine will brew your coffee to perfection with dose-control grinding, digital temperature control, and a steam wand.

Yi Yang / BuzzFeed

"This stainless-steel beaut is the single most expensive appliance in my entire home and lemme tell ya — it's worth every penny! I had it on my wish list for *many* years before finally investing in one and I've used it literally every day for three years. It's still running like new and consistently makes cafe-quality drinks. I used to buy a latte outside every other day (which in NYC, costs around $5 a cup — big yikes) but I've cut that down to maybe once a week (at most) since getting this machine! I think with the money I've saved on lattes, this machine has already paid for itself.

Before this, I tried pretty much every kind of coffee gadget to try to recreate the same taste as my local cafe but just couldn't get it 100% right (including the Nespresso machine, which comes pretty close). What I love most is I can grind the beans, extract the espresso, and froth the milk all in one place — you really don't need to purchase any other accessories to go with it (other than water filters and cleaning tablets). And all three of these components work really well, almost at the level of a professional machine, especially the milk frother which produces super fine bubbles that make latte art possible.

It's also great to be able to choose the beans I want — so I can still support local coffee roasters — instead of having to purchase capsules. Bottom line — the coffee is darn good. If you mostly drink cold brew, pour-overs, or drip coffee, then this machine is probably unnecessary. If you love espresso-based drinks and are somewhat of a coffee perfectionist, I'd highly recommend the Breville Barista Express. It's a splurge but will likely last you for many years to come." —Yi Yang

"These shorts come in a bazillion rotating colors because they sell out so quickly you might blink and miss them. I own a pair in pink (that is me being v cheeky above) and can confirm that they are so comfortable that I genuinely had to look down and make sure I wasn't naked a few times, but still opaque enough to venture out into the world without worrying about everyone seeing your booty. I probably own ten pairs of bike shorts now (don't look at me), and these are the comfiest by far." —Emma Lord

Amazon / Via amazon.com

When it comes to preparing vegetables, cutting meat, etc... having a really sharp, great knife that fits comfortably in my hand makes cooking so much easier. 10. A Pet House room-freshening spray that'll neutralize pet odors and keep your furry friend's unpleasant aromas at bay.

BuzzFeed / Marquaysa Battle

"I'm sincerely loving this Pet House spray to pieces. I have a 10-year-old doggo and while I keep him bathed regularly, I still like to spritz his kingdom (read: my room) with something that smells super good. The Sunwashed Cotton scent specifically makes my nose happy. Another perk? My dog and I both have allergies (oh, the odds) and everything else I spray tends to send us both into sneezing fits. This spray doesn't tickle either of our noses and it's kinda unbelievable. Good scent. No itchy noses. Plus, the spray instantly refreshes my room and sticks around a nice little while. 10s across the board with this baby. Next, I want to try the Fresh Citrus scent." —Marquaysa Battle

12. A tube of Supergoop! SPF 50 lotion made with sunflower extract that'll help keep your skin safe from the sun. It's fast-absorbing, non-greasy, and sweat-resistant.

Sephora

"I've been looking for a nongreasy sunscreen that isn't too thick and doesn't require me to stand there rubbing it in for 10 minutes to get it to properly disappear and FINALLY, I've found it! A little goes a long way with this, so I apply a nickel-sized amount to my entire face and it absorbs really quickly. I have oily skin AND I wear makeup so I kept my fingers crossed that my face wouldn't look like a greased frying pan after a day of walking around in the hot sun. I was out from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and when I looked in the mirror — no oily patches! It didn't weigh my skin down and actually made my face and arms feel softer after applying it. It does have a bit of a sunscreen-y smell but it isn't too strong. Supergoop! for the win!" —Jasmin Suknanan

13. A microwave pasta maker that'll make it super easy to enjoy a yummy pasta dinner when you just don't have the energy to boil the water, stir the pasta, and do all those extra steps.

Amazon

It yields up to four servings at a time, and is top-rack dishwasher-safe.

"Two of the most basic facts about me are that 1) I love pasta and 2) I'm lazy as heck, especially after a long day when I get home HANGRY. Cooking pasta is pretty easy, even for someone like me who rarely cooks. But still, it's a little more than I want to do when I'm feeling hungry and/or burnt out to wait for the water to boil and have to wash the pot and colander when I'm done. What I really needed was something that could have the whole process done in under 15 minutes and that I could just toss in the dishwasher.

Enter the Fasta Pasta (great name btw). I'd seen this on Amazon for a while and was skeptical, but I finally decided it was something I needed to try for myself. I'm really amazed by what a game-changer it is, as well as how user-friendly it is. It comes with a booklet of instructions on how long to cook/how much pasta and water to use for all different shapes of pasta, plus there's an extended list on the product's website. All you have to do is measure out the pasta and fill the tub with water to the appropriate fill line, then microwave it on high for the noted amount of time. When it's done, you pop on the lid, which has convenient handles. I was nervous about using my bare hands to take this out of the microwave even with the handles, but amazingly it doesn't get that hot!

The lid also has a built-in strainer, which is perfect for both helping you fill the Fasta Pasta with a precise amount of water and for straining once the pasta is cooked. Sometimes you may also want to break out a colander to dry your noodles more fully, but the lid can handle most of the job. Then voila! You've got pasta! And you can just pop the gadget on the top rack of your dishwasher so it's ready for another day of deliciousness. Of course, just like when you make pasta on the stove, you'll need to play around a bit with cooktimes in your personal microwave or with adding salt to taste, but eventually I reckon you can get pasta that's just as good as what you'd make the old-fashioned way. I've only made orzo in it so far, but I bet it'll be even better with larger pasta shapes. Honestly, anything that gets me to cook pasta on a weeknight is a big time win. Will I ever use my stove again? Who knows." —Katy Herman

14. A bottle of Garnier micellar cleansing water to gently and completely remove your makeup without causing irritation.

amazon.com

"Genuinely can't say enough good things about this makeup remover. I have SUPER sensitive skin. You know the folklore of everything someone touches turning to gold? Well, my own folklore is every product that touches my skin turns it red. Not nearly as cool, or fun, or exciting as gold. I have tried more makeup removers than I can count. I used to use store-brand makeup remover wipes DAILY, with ZERO issue, until one night it just decided to turn against me. I've tried oil-based removers, different kinds of wipes — no success. Micellar Cleansing Water has legitimately changed my life. It literally just feels like I'm cleaning my makeup with water. No irritation, no redness, no itchiness. This stuff is pure magic. I apply a bit to a cotton makeup remover pad, and then just wipe. It takes a total of, like 15 seconds, and then I wash my face. Plus, it lasts FOREVER. You only need a little bit at a time. I've had my bottle for six months now and STILL haven't run out. Trust me, the hype this stuff gets is VERY deserved." —Samantha Wieder

amazon.com

"Listen, listen, listen. Without hyperbole, the Baby Brezza has been one of my best investments for year one in babyland. Late-night feeds no longer become about fumbling, spilling, mixing, warming, and minutes later delivering a so-so bottle to a crying child. No, in seconds a measured and warm concoction is in hand and then in baby's mouth. Just add water to the tank and formula to the dispenser and serve bottles ranging between 2-10 ounces warmed to three different temperatures. The time, effort, and stress this wonderful machine has saved me from is emotionally immeasurable and worth the price tag. It even forces you to clean it after every four uses because that formula gets gunky and you get lazy." —John Mihaly

BuzzFeed / Sarah Lee

"'Tis the season for watermelon! With the warmer temperatures approaching, I've been craving a cool and refreshing snack and so has my skin. Enter Glow Recipe's PHA + BHA Pore-Tight Toner! I've never been a huge fan of using a toner as it always felt like a waste of time and would leave my face feeling oily and sticky. This toner does have a slight sticky texture due to the cactus water but once patted on to your face, the stickiness disappears.

I actually like to keep the toner in the fridge because it’s super refreshing and hydrating when I put it on — especially after a warm shower! If I also have a zit, I like to get a cotton pad and soak it with the cold toner. Then I press the pad against my zit for a couple of minutes! After using this for a while, I've seen a slight reduction in pore size and because my skin isn't too oily, I've also seen a reduction in overall breakouts." —Sarah Lee

Thrive Causemetics

"Okay, fine I'll admit it: I'm a mascara snob. My natural lashes are on the longer side, but I definitely like that eyelash extension-look, so I always seek volume, pigment, and extra length in my mascaras. Because of this, I tend to hate a lot of mascaras I try, and when I do find one I like, I cling to it for dear life. I came across Thrive's mascara on Instagram and saw the length and volume it gave some woman in their video and added to cart instantly. Y'all, I've been using this mascara every day since and it hasn't failed to give me suuuuper long, fanned out, volumized lashes! People ask me all the time if I'm wearing eyelash extensions, so I'd definitely say I got what I wanted out of this mascara. Plus, no flaking, clumping, or smudging!
