8 Things You Can Watch On Amazon Prime Video In October

Happy watching!

1. The Man in the High Castle

Amazon

After a nearly 2-year wait, Season 3 of Amazon's The Man in the High Castle is now available to stream. New to the show? It's a haunting period piece set in the '60s, and depicts an alternate reality where the Axis powers have won World War II and the United States is divided between Nazi and Japanese control, with a neutral territory in the middle.

Starring: Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans, Rufus Sewell, Luke Kleintank

2. The Romanoffs (premieres October 12)

Amazon

Missing Mad Men? Well, creator Matthew Weiner's new anthology series, The Romanoffs, might just fill that void for you. It's an anthology series shot on three continents, telling separate stories of characters who believe they are descendants of the Russian royal family, the Romanoffs.

Starring: John Slattery, Aaron Eckhart, Kathryn Hahn, Christina Hendricks, Diane Lane, Amanda Peet

3. Pushing Daisies

ABC

If you somehow missed this cult favorite on ABC, the full series is now available to stream. The basic plot? A pie-maker has the ability to bring dead people back to life — and uses that gift to solve murder mysteries. It's part procedural, part fantasy, part musical, and 100% charming.

Starring: Lee Pace, Anna Friel, Chi McBride, Kristin Chenoweth

4. Becoming Jiff

Samuel Goldwyn Films

Craving a funny, sweet, and highly binge-able comedy? Check out this new short-form (seriously, each episode is only 4-6 minutes long!) series about a 20-something guy whose dating life gets a boost through a case of mistaken identity when he accidentally ends up with another guy's phone. Spoiler alert: Hijinks ensue!

Starring: Tyler Silvers, Kayla Wickes, Erick Zamora

5. Growing Pains

ABC

If you're feeling majorly nostalgic for a simpler time (aka, the '80s and '90s), settle in for a rewatch of the classic family sitcom, Growing Pains — all seven seasons are available to stream. Reminder: This was young Leonardo DiCaprio's big break!

Starring: Alan Thicke, Joanna Kerns, Kirk Cameron, Jeremy Miller, Tracey Gold

6. Donnie Darko (October 17)

Newmarket Films

Just in time for Halloween, you're due for a rewatch of Donnie Darko — you know, the sci-fi, cult classic about a teen (baby Jake Gyllenhaal) who is followed by a figure in a menacing rabbit costume. A lot of other shit happens. Just watch.

Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jena Malone, Drew Barrymore

7. Ravenswood

Freeform

If you missed this short-lived Pretty Little Liars spin-off starring Tyler Blackburn (aka Caleb from PLL), now's your chance to watch it all in one place. There's only 10 episodes, so it's a quick and thrilling binge-watch.

Starring: Tyler Blackburn, Nicole Gale Anderson, Brett Dier, Merritt Patterson

8. It Takes Two

DualStar

The Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen classic story about identical strangers who try to pull a Parent Trap on their parental figures is on Amazon Prime (it's been on since before this month, but I personally just discovered this news and had to share!). If this doesn't hit you right in the nostalgia, I don't know what will.

Starring: Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Steve Guttenberg, Kirstie Alley
