On Tuesday, Hollywood Unlocked reported the news, claiming that the "Bodak Yellow" rapper had filed after posting a cryptic quote on Instgaram days before.

Despite the numerous reports and rumours, neither party has yet to publicly comment on the situation, with Offset only posting a picture with the caption: "Grind don't stop."

But in a recent Instagram story, Cardi revealed that her friends have got her back, posting a picture of flowers that had been sent by none other than Lizzo.

Cardi and Offset's relationship has seen its fair share of drama since the couple secretly tied the knot back in 2017, a month before he publicly proposed.

But, following accusations of cheating, the couple separated, with Offset interrupting one of Cardi's live performances to publicly apologise.

Earlier this year, Cardi opened up about their relationship struggles in a Vogue interview, revealing why she chose to stay with Offset.

"He cheated and everything — and I decided to stay with him and work together with him," she explained. "A lot of people were so mad at me; a lot of women felt disappointed in me."

Cardi added: "People that be in marriages for years, when they say till death do us part, they not talking about little arguments like if you leave the fridge open. That's including everything."

BuzzFeed News has reached out to Cardi's reps for comment.
