1. Even the smallest things are a competition. From grades to being your parents' favorite, each of you has to win.
2. You hate it when they get special privileges that were never offered to you, like watching R-rated movies at age 10.
3. Poking fun at each other can be the most fun, and you can be brutally honest with one another when needed.
4. Despite being COMPLETELY different, you've both heard, "You two look so alike!" more than either of you can bear.
5. You always rope each other into the stupidest shenanigans, like sneaking out to a party at 3 a.m., which seems to be a good idea at the time.
6. And whenever you get in trouble, you're prepared to face the wrath of your parents together.
7. But if they ever rat you out, you have years of blackmail to hold against them. After all, you've seen each other go through puberty.
8. You've perfected the art of knowing just what to say to get on each other's last nerve.
9. It's hilarious watching your sibling try waaaayyyyyy too hard to impress someone they like, because you know their true self far too well.
10. Asking for favors is a lesson in negotiation tactics. Taking the trash out ONCE is not equal to a lifetime of servitude.
11. But you always manage to come together when you have a common enemy...the oldest sibling.
12. You're amazed by how they manage to get away with everything without getting caught, like sneaking that extra unhealthy snack into the shopping cart.
13. You're always trying to take one another's shit even though neither of you wants to share yours.
14. Even when they don't feel like talking, you can never completely leave them alone. They consider it bugging, you consider it bonding.
15. But at the end of the day, you know they've got your back, and you've got theirs.
