Arsenal's Mesut Özil gets a lot of flack from the English media.
1. And it's not hard to see why. Look at that pass.
2. Lazy.
Perfectly weighted flick. Just lazy.
3. Can you at least try, Özil?
4. So lazy.
He's lucky to have scored there.
5. Why isn't he on the bench?
6. You really have to ask “Is he really worth £42 million?"
He's clearly technically deficient.
7. Pick up the pace, man.
8. Wake up, Mesut!
9. Half the time he's just moseying around the pitch.
95 minutes gone, seconds to go and this is Mesut Özil. Yet he's lazy and doesn't work hard.
10. And the other half, he just gets in the way.
11. You know, it's his "body language."
12. His teammates hate him for being so lazy.
13. And let's be real: he would never make it into the starting XI of a World Cup-winning team.
He's just too lazy.
But despite all of the criticism levied against him, Özil really is the furthest thing from "lazy."
And he has one simple, elegant message for anyone who actually believes anything written in this post.
