Did you know that nearly half of girls in the US drop out of sports during puberty?*
Even though girls who stay in sports can gain the confidence and skills that help them become whoever they want to be.
In fact, more than half of women who played sports during puberty credit it for helping them become who they are today.
If you played sports during puberty (8 to 16 years old), we want to hear your story! Specifically, we’d love for you to share how staying in sports contributed to your confidence and skills as an adult.
Maybe you can attribute your leadership skills to playing lacrosse in middle school.
Or maybe joining the volleyball team helped you cultivate the confidence you needed to fight for that raise.
Currently mentoring interns at work? Wouldn’t be surprised if your skills came from being captain of the basketball team.
Whatever your story, we want to hear it. So drop it in the comments below. We can't wait to read what you have to share!
FYI, your story might be selected to be part of Always and Walmart's Keep Her Playing campaign. Learn how Always and Walmart are helping girls across the country stay in sports during puberty, so they too can gain confidence and all these life skills, by visiting www.walmart.com/always.
