It's shitty, don't get me wrong, the customer is the shitty one, but that's the worker's job. And if you are the owner, you can't let someone just stick you with losses because they didn't do a simple thing.

To break it down more, now that place is stuck with an unusable money order that they provided the funds for before taking payment, so the company takes that loss.

2 should have been fired. My favorite are the people who walk into a best buy and are "where are your electronics?" Seriously everything in the store that's a football field long is an electronic.
