Fun fact: John Hughes, who directed the film, almost fired Nelson because he stayed in character and continued to mock Molly Ringwald when they were no longer filming. However, the other actors convinced Hughes to let him stay.

Fun fact: Hall turned 16 while they were filming, and the cast went to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate.

Ally Sheedy as Allison Reynolds

A&M Films, Michael Buckner

Fun fact: Sheedy felt really close to Allison because she was "very much how [Sheedy] felt when [she] was in high school."

Fun fact: During filming, Kapelos was annoyed at Estevez and told him that if he’d been present for Martin Sheen’s 1977 heart attack, he would have just let it happen. At the time, he didn't know that Martin Sheen was Estevez’s father.

Paul Gleason, who played Vice Principal Vernon, passed away in 2006. Gleason was 67.
