So, I'm a sucker for a great teen-centered dark comedy.
And, just when I was starting to ~itch~ for something new, the movie gods gifted us with a trailer for Thoroughbreds, starring Olivia Cooke and Anya Taylor-Joy.
Cooke stars as Amanda, a stylish sociopathic outcast.
And Taylor-Joy stars as Lily, an emotional upper-class boarding school student.
Amanda and Lily are childhood friends in the process of rekindling their odd relationship as teens. This is ignited by their mutual dislike for Lily's step-father.
The film also stars Anton Yelchin, in one of the very last roles he filmed, as their unsuspecting hitman-for-hire.
And, as you can imagine, things go just a tad ~awry~.
Overall, any movie that gets described as "American Psycho meets Heathers" by critics can sign me the heck up.
