People Are Sharing The Little Things That You "Never Get Too Old For" And Every Single One Is True

You're never too old to have fun...or to sing "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" at the top of your lungs.

This week in a viral thread, redditor u/Guergy asked, "Even if you are an adult, what is something that you are never truly too old for?" and the answers were almost TOO wholesome.

    Warner Bros. Pictures

So with that in mind, here are just a few of the little things that — no matter your age — you'll never be "too old" for:

    1. "Running really fast with a shopping cart on the way back to your car and riding on the little bottom part like it’s a scooter. I’m 30, and still do it every time."

    2. "Go-karts. They will be fun forever."

    3. "I’m a grown-ass chef (some people definitely see me as a hard-ass because of my profession), but I still rock Disney soundtracks while I'm prepping. It gets you going and will undoubtedly put you in a good mood."

    4. "Using your imagination — and also, dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets."

    5. "Helpless, overwhelming laughter that makes you cry and (maybe) wet your pants. Never give up on being silly."

    6. "When my boys were little, I would tuck them into bed, then I'd put my hands on either side of their bodies — above the blanket and while pushing up and down, slow then fast — and I'd sing, 'You are snugasabuginarug, snugasabuginarug, snugasabuginarug!' They'd laugh and ask for more, and it's now a fond memory..."

"...They're all adults now, but, the other night, my oldest and I were chatting as he was in bed and I was at his door. He asked me to turn off his light and I asked him if I could do anything else for him. He got this grin and said, 'Snug as a bug in a rug?' I said yes — which he couldn’t believe — and I did it! We ended up giggling so hard! We had the best laugh, and as I turned out his light, he just looked so bemused.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, you are never too old to be 'snug as a bug in a rug!'"

    10. "Naps. Our family motto is: 'If you love someone, let them sleep.'"

    11. "Spinning around on any spinny chair. I'm in my 40s and I love a good celebratory spin on my office chair when I get something done at work. Also, you have to go, 'Wheeeeeee!' when you do it."

    12. "Squirting whip cream directly into your mouth from the can."

    13. "Legos. And — since I'm an adult now and make adult money — I can afford the massive, ridiculously expensive sets such as the giant Star Destroyer from Star Wars."

    u/Tjodleik

    14. "Motioning your arm up and down to get a semitruck to honk their horn."

    u/dabaker509

    15. "Having a stuffed animal that helps you fall asleep."

    16. "Coloring. Having a toddler has made me realize that coloring things is fucking awesome."

    u/plague681

    17. "Yelling 'COWS!' when you see cows on a long car trip."

    u/TheReal5thBeatle

    18. "Hot Wheels. My son is just getting into them now, so we spend Saturday afternoons toy shop crawling, trawling for the perfect Hot Wheel. I get irrationally excited for someone who's 30+!"

    u/Rapidfire_7

    19. And finally — "You're never too old to need your mom."
