The First Trailer For Wes Anderson's "Isle Of Dogs" Will Make You Want To Go Hug Your Pup Immediately
"He's a 12-year-old boy...dogs love those."
It's been a hot minute since our eye holes were greeted to the aesthetic orgasm that is a Wes Anderson film.
And it appears that delay was for a great reason because today we got our first trailer for his new stop-motion film Isle of Dogs.
This is not Anderson's first time with a stop-motion, animal-centered film, having written and directed Fantastic Mr. Fox in 2009.
But this new one is sure to give dog lovers (so...literally everyone on Earth because who TF doesn't love dogs?) all of ~the feels~.
When an epidemic of "dog flu" breaks out in futuristic Japan, the Mayor demands a nationwide quarantine of all dogs to "Trash Island".
But one 12 year old boy will not rest until he finds his pup, Spot, and sets out to Trash Island to find him.
With the help of a determined group of "scary, indestructible Alpha Dogs" the young boy sets out on a mission to find his missing pup, but may accidentally uncover much more.
While the story here is OBVIOUSLY adorable, can we take a moment to admire just how GORGEOUS this animation is? Like...It wins all the awards already.
ALSO, THIS CAST. LIKE, WHO HAS BEEN READING MY DIARY?!
So go hug your sweet pup (or really any pup in the surrounding area) and catch Isle of Dogs in theaters March 23, 2018.
