The drama follows a young couple about to be wed in the summer of 1962.
Florence (Ronan) is a violinist from a well-off family while her husband-to-be, Edward (Billy Howle) is a working class college graduate.
However, things take an unexpected turn when it is revealed on their honeymoon that Florence is not ready to be sexually intimate.
Exploring the societal pressures that come with being young, married, and physically intimate, the trailer alone is stunning.
And, as if that wasn't convincing enough, the film is based on the best-selling novel by Ian McEwan, the same author who penned Atonement.
