18 Movies So Questionable, People Either Stopped Them Or Walked Out Of Them
Sometimes the "stop" button is self-care.
We recently took a look at a Reddit thread that asked users, "What movie did you start watching and then said, 'Fuck this, I'm not finishing it'?" and their answers were so good, they sparked even more brilliant responses! Here are just a few more movies people NOPED the heck out of before they could finish them:
1. Sausage Party (2016)

"I thought it might be daft fun, but it's like they intentionally set out to make a film for morons. I tried watching it for about 10 minutes before I turned it off for fear of it turning me stupid."
2. Joe Versus the Volcano (1990)

"This is an old one with Tom Hanks. I saw it in the theater. I can't remember what actually drove me to walk out, but I 100% think I stayed longer than I should have. Just. Awful."
3. Mamma Mia! (2008)

"The only movie I've never managed to complete is this one. I absolutely love ABBA and I heard so much great stuff about this movie. I think it was the fact that you had these grown women literally screeching. It was horrible."
4. At Eternity's Gate (2018)

"I went in with such high expectations. Willem Dafoe playing Vincent Van Gogh? I mean, it sounds ridiculously good! I was SO excited to finally watch it! Then, after 10 minutes of nauseating shaky cam through a wheat field, I turned it off. If someone ever runs the whole film through an image stabilization algorithm, I'll give it another shot. Until then, big NOPE."
5. Human Centipede 2 (2011)

"The first one was gross, but still kind of campy and wasn't overly graphic. The second I started this one — I truly don't know how far I got — it was just torture porn, so I turned it off. I like horror movies, but can't do these types."

6. Daredevil (2003)

"I checked out in the beginning of the movie when the criminal got hit by the train. It reminded me of Austin Powers when the guy got run over by the roller. I've heard they meant to go campy, but that doesn't really fit with the Daredevil character that was popularized by Frank Miller. It's like the only thing the director knew about comics was the '60s cartoons of Batman."
7. Eat Pray Love (2010)

"Just the 20 minutes I saw were mind-numbing. I couldn't get through the book, so I’m not sure why I thought the movie would be any better..."
8. The Last Exorcism (2010)

"I walked out and got a refund. It was even a little over the point of no refund, but they gave one to me anyway."
9. Happy Time Murders (2018)

"The movie with Melissa McCarthy and the puppets. It was so bad, I left after 10 minutes."
10. Hoot (2006)

"My grandmother and I went to go see this movie in theaters. We lasted about 15 minutes, and I, at 5 years old, knew then it was a bad movie. We shared a look, got up, left, and went to get pizza for dinner."
11. Ad Astra (2019)

"This movie should be on this list. It's the stupidest plot ever. I left the cinema. I even tried to rewatch it on a flight, but I still wanted to get up and leave somehow."
12. Pain and Gain (2013)

"The ONLY movie I’ve ever walked out of. It was so bad that it actually made me angry. And I LOVE The Rock."
13. American Pie (1999)

"The original one. I’ve tried on three separate occasions to watch it and just can’t get through the first 30 minutes."
14. Hellboy (2019)

"I loved Hellboy (2004). Then I heard they were rebooting it. I was so excited for it and rented the movie through Amazon. It was so bad that my siblings and I couldn't finish the movie. We didn't make it past the first 40 minutes. This was the first time in my life that I didn't finish a movie."
15. The Bling Ring (2013)

"This movie was SO boring. I wanted to like it because the ACTUAL events were so fascinating, but it was so bad. And Emma Watson was completely miscast. Her accent was awful and I just couldn't finish it. I think it could've been sooo much better."
16. The Other Boleyn Girl (2008)

"I saw this with my mom and we walked out about 40 minutes into it. If you’ve seen it, you’ll known it’s not really a movie you want to sit through with a parent."

17. Vanilla Sky (2001)

"I walked out even though I adore Tom Cruise. Couldn't do it."
18. Avatar: The Last Airbender (2010)

"My sister and I loved the show so much, but we couldn't even get through 20 minutes of the movie. We decided to just watch an episode of the show instead, just to get the bad taste out of our brains."
