The clown prince of terrorizing children is back, and this time he's here for the grown-ups, too. 27 years after the events of the first film, the "Losers Club" returns to their hometown of Derry, Maine to defeat the supernatural entity known as "It" once and for all. Y'all, between this film and the release of Joker next month, autumn 2019 has promised to be the season of the clown, so — with that in mind — be careful which of your exes you're choosing to text.
2. Hustlers (Sept. 13)

Strippers! Stealing! Jennifer Lopez looking better than I ever will in my life! This movie has it all! The film — which is inspired by a true story — follows Destiny (Constance Wu), a woman who is just trying to make ends meet. When she begins stripping, she is taken under the wing of Ramona (Jennifer Lopez). Sick of the power imbalance between themselves and their clients, they hatch a scheme to swindle unsuspecting patrons out of money. Plus, the rest of the cast includes the likes of Keke Palmer, Cardi B, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo, and Julia Stiles. I told you already, this movie has EVERYTHING.
3. The Goldfinch (Sept. 13)

Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, you can almost smell the Academy Awards from here for this one. After his mother is tragically killed in a terrorist attack at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, 13-year-old Theodore (played as a child by Oakes Fegley and as an adult by Ansel Elgort) goes to live with the wealthy Samantha Barbour (Nicole Kidman). The story follows Theo through his chaotic life as he clutches onto something he should've never had, the titular Goldfinch painting, which he took from the Museum in his confusion on that fateful day.
4. Haunt (Sept. 13)

From the writers of A Quiet Place and produced by the man who brought us not one but THREE Hostel films, this one might have you second-guessing that trip to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. When a group of close buddies come across what is described as an "extreme haunted house" attraction, you can bet that not everything is as ~pretend~ as it first appears. Basically, this is the worst nightmare of anyone who's ever walked a haunted maze and thought, "LOL, but what if those chainsaws were real, though?!"
5. Rambo: Last Blood (Sept. 20)

You know what they say, you never forget your first or last...blood? After a friend's daughter is kidnapped and taken across the Mexican border, it's up to Rambo (Sylvester Stalone) to do what he does best and — as someone who's never once seen a Rambo in her life — I'm assuming that involves a lot of blood at some point? Okay, but seriously, how great would it be if we stopped calling it "menopause" and started calling it "Menopause: Last Blood"? Anyway, thanks for clicking on this post.
6. Downton Abbey (Sept. 20)

And here we have the very anticipated continuation of the beloved TV show of the same name, which follows the lives of the Crawley family and their servants in England during the early 1900's. This time, we see all heck break loose during a visit from King George V and Queen Mary. Also, it includes Maggie Smith continuing her reign over us as an absolute legend, so do you really need another reason to go see it?
7. Judy (Sept. 27)

In 1968, icon Judy Garland (Renée Zellweger) heads to London to perform a series of sold-out shows, and she spends her time there reminiscing about her incredible life and her many loves, including her current fiancé and fifth husband-to-be, Mickey Deans (Finn Wittrock). And y'all — Renée Zellweger is almost unrecognizable in this one. Remember those Academy Awards I could almost smell for The Goldfinch? Yeah, I can smell more over here, too.
8. Abominable (Sept. 27)

Ending the month on an incredibly cute note, we have this adorable tale of a group of teenagers on a quest to reunite a Yeti with his family. This Yeti has, somehow, found himself on Yi's (Chloe Bennet) apartment building rooftop...in the middle of the VERY busy city of Shanghai. Hoping to return him to his home on Mount Everest, Yi and her friends have more to worry about than just the distance, since they're being pursued by some wacky scientists who'd like to get their hands on the beast.
