We all already know the importance of a well-done opening scene in a film...but the ending scene is equally — if not MORE — important. After all, you don't want your whole movie ruined by its trip across the finish line!
So with that in mind, what is a movie ending scene so satisfying — so well executed — it should've won the Academy Award for Best Movie Ending (if, ya know, that was a category)?
Maybe it's a classic, creepy ending — like the ending scene in Psycho (1960) — that caused you to lose sleep because of its perfection.
Perhaps it's something triumphant and heart-wrenching — like the ending scene of The Truman Show (1998) — that stuck with you long after the movie ended.
Or heck, maybe it was something most people wouldn't think of as ~Oscarworthy~ — like the shocking ending of Avengers: Infinity War (2018) — that made you believe it deserved an (albeit imaginary) Academy Award.
