James Franco's transformative performance in The Disaster Artist has, easily, been one of the most memorable in recent years.
So I'm sure it came as no surprise when he took home the Golden Globe for best actor this weekend.
However, what WAS surprising was the fact that he invited Tommy Wiseau, the man he portrayed in the film, to the stage during his acceptance speech.
And what started as a sweet moment got awkward fast when Wiseau tried to grab the microphone as soon as he reached the stage, but Franco was like, LOL NOPE.
Like...just watch the whole moment yourself.
And fans on Twitter were, of course, quick to notice.
Like, it was truly on brand for both Wiseau and Franco.
He literally barred the man he was playing in the movie he just won an award for from speaking ABOUT the movie.
Oh well. I'm going to hold out for an Oscar win for Franco and a full speech from Wiseau.
