This Clip Of A Confused Gwyneth Paltrow Learning She Was In "Spider-Man: Homecoming" Is My New Favorite Thing

    "We weren't in Spider-Man together..."

Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts is a STAPLE character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She's been a part of the MCU since the beginning...just as long as Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark and Jon Favreau's Happy.

In fact, Paltrow's Pepper is SO important to the MCU, she has made various appearances OUTSIDE of the Iron Man trilogy, showing up in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, and β€” most recently β€” Avengers: Endgame.

However, with that amount of movies under your belt, you're bound to forget a few β€” and that's EXACTLY what happened to Paltrow when she appeared as a guest on Favreau's new Netflix cooking show, The Chef Show:

Gwyneth Paltrow genuinely did not know she was in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" so this adorable interaction from "The Chef Show" is easily my favorite thing on the internet today

First off, Favreau and celebrity chef Roy Choi explain that they'll be making a dish called a "pepper pot," which is absolutely delightful.

The conversation starts out simple enough β€” with Paltrow asking what the heck the show she's currently on in the first place is, which is, frankly, relatable.

    Netflix

I ALSO don't know what I'm doing at any given moment.

Favreau delves into a quick explanation about the new show, noting that the idea came to him randomly while they were filming Spider-Man: Homecoming "together."

    Netflix

Paltrow is quick to correct him, noting she was NOT at ANY POINT in a Spider-Man movie.

Once Favreau realizes Paltrow is serious, it leads him to make this hilarious facial expression:

    Netflix

Frankly, I don't understand how this isn't a meme or whatever the young kids call them now.

Anyway, Favreau doubles down, with Choi even adding the word "Homecoming" to make it clearer which film they're referring to, but she STILL doesn't remember.

    Netflix

Finally, Favreau explicitly describes the scene they were in and you can literally SEE the memory flooding back into Paltrow's brain. It's adorable.

    Netflix

What makes the exchange all the better is that she did remember the scene, but she THOUGHT it was actually for one of the Avengers movies, which...I have so many questions, y'all.

    Netflix

There ya have it. So, the next time you forget to charge your phone before going out or forget where you put your keys down, be kinder to yourself, because β€” sometimes β€” people forget that they were in WHOLE movies.
