    "Bel-Air" — The "Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" Reboot — Finally Has A Trailer, And Y'all, It's Intense

    "So, here's the story..."

So, this is a story all about how one fan-made trailer brought the internet down — so I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, and I'll tell you how we got this reboot of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Okay, sorry, I'll cut the cute and get right to it: Back in 2019, a fan-made trailer for a gritty, dark "reboot" of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air went mega-viral, eventually even catching the attention of the Fresh Prince himself, Will Smith.

The incredible trailer was written and directed by Morgan Cooper.

In fact, Will loved Morgan's trailer and concept SO MUCH, he decided to make it a reality — which brings us to today, when we received our very first trailer for the new show, titled Bel-Air, which will premiere on Peacock! Check out the trailer here:

The plot of the show follows most of the same beats as the original story, with the central focus seeing Will (Jabari Banks) sent away to Bel-Air to live with his Aunt Vivian (Cassandra Freeman) and Uncle Phil (Adrian Holmes) after he gets into some serious trouble.

However, since this is a more dramatic, less comedic take on the story, Will's worries are escalating fast as he remains on the run from threats in West Philadelphia.

The trailer also gives us a look at the new cast who'll be playing some of our old faves, like "house manager" Jeffrey (Jimmy Akingbola):

And, of course, all of the Banks children are accounted for, starting with Hilary (Coco Jones):

    Then Ashley (Akira Akbar):

And, of course, Carlton (Olly Sholotan):

Overall, the show looks like it's going to be awesome! It's really cool to see something so ready to inject new, modern energy into a beloved classic — while also opting to do its own thing with the subject matter! We love to see it!

So, there ya have it! Be sure to check out Bel-Air when it finally hits Peacock on Feb. 13! Until then, well...smell ya later!
