Flying On The Hello Kitty Plane Is So Ridiculous That It's Hilarious (and Cute)

Taiwan's Eva Air has been flying Hello Kitty-themed airplanes for a while. However, none of them had been flying to the United States until recently. I happened to catch one from Taipei to Los Angeles last week. The Hello Kitty theme was evident on the exterior of the plane, but it didn't stop there. Naturally, I had to take at least a few pictures of the experience. I really enjoyed the flight and this admittedly was not my first time flying Eva Air. The service was great and the plane was comfortable! This is my short tale of me realizing what was going on and the things I found on the plane. Disclaimer: Eva Air did not in any way contact me or pay me to make this post. I just found it that amusing all on my own!

Slow realization: Wait, is this really happening?

I had heard earlier in the week during my visit to Taiwan that I might be flying on a Hello Kitty jet for my trip back to the states, but I wasn't sure if it was going to actually happen. Then I saw this on the screens above the check-in counter. This was my first hint.

Okay *breathes deep* I think this is really happening. This might be real.

My boarding pass featured Hello Kitty, but maybe they just wanted to share the Hello Kitty love with anyone flying Eva Air on this fine Friday night.

Okay, I saw this after I got my boarding pass. Anyone could walk by this whether or not they are actually flying on the Hello Kitty jet though.

Next was to go through security and walk to the gate and see if this was real.

Got to the gate and there it was. A Boeing 777 in Hello Kitty livery glory. The question then was: What would I find inside?!

Sorry for the bad angle and the bad photo. The lighting wasn't good and the windows had a reflective film on them that didn't help at all.

The arrival at LAX came sooner than expected. The Hello Kitty plane was comfortable and the service was excellent. I hope to fly again someday, but until then, see you later, Hello Kitty and friends! Keep on flying!
