The audience was treated to an early screening of this week's episode, "I See You," followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Good Morning America's Lara Spencer and then an audience Q&A.

Here are some highlights from the event:

(While there are no spoilers about the upcoming episode, if you are not caught up on the current season, you might not want to read ahead.)

1. Shonda Rhimes and her team have an end in sight for the series.

While not giving any specific timeline or plot points away, Rhimes said "We know when it ends and where it ends. We've talked about these things."

2. When asked to guess the ultimate fate of his character, David Rosen, actor Josh Malina gave everyone a good chuckle with his ~hopeful~ answer.

3. FItz might never find out about Olivia's abortion.

When asked by an audience member when Fitz would find out about the abortion Olivia had in the winter finale, Rhimes replied with "My question is, does he need to?" She went on to say, "A woman made a choice about her body that she legally has the right to make. I haven't decided yet, but I wonder sometimes. We talk about it a lot."

4. Shonda Rhimes is more influenced by the musical Hamilton, than she is by current political events. Clearly, so is the cast.

Shonda on Hamilton: "I'm a little bit obsessed just because its interesting and exciting. But the election right now is its own thing — you can't make that stuff up."

5. The cast members each named the character besides their own they'd most like to play.
