Alison M commented on Which TV Villains Could You Not Help But Root For?

Petra from Jane the Virgin! She just wanted to be seen and loved so badly. It just took her a few seasons to find herself. I loved her transformation and rooting for her every week!

Alison M commented on Which TV Death Was So Awful, It Ruined The Whole Show?

Glenn Rhee from The Walking Dead. I LOVED that show for a long time, even when it had its ups and downs, but I don’t watch it anymore and haven’t ever since they killed off Glenn. He was the heart of that show and one of the only reasons that many fans stuck around through the shows…

Alison M commented on Which Female Actor Was So Perfectly Cast In A TV Role, You Can't Imagine Anyone Else Playing It?

Catriona Balfe as Claire in Outlander. Her looks, her poise, the way she talks and deals so confidently with all the men around her, her brutal side and her gentle side, Catriona is just...Claire. That show did casting right (Jenny and Marsali also deserve mentions).

Alison M commented on What's The Best-Acted Scene In TV History?

Ellen Pompeo in the Grey’s episode called The Sound of Silence. There’s a moment where she’s crying and Alex is holding her and when they realize she can hear their crying turns into laughing. The whole thing just feels so genuine, and she does the entire scene without words. Honestly…

Alison M commented on What's The Best-Acted Scene In TV History?

D’Arcy Carden as Janet in the Good Place. Specifically almost any scene from the episode where she literally played the entire cast. Brilliant.

Alison M commented on What's A Movie That Should Probably Be Watched In A Movie Theater?

Mother! I’m still not sure how I feel about this movie, but one thing is for sure: it can build tension like no other. I can only imagine that feeling of claustrophobic anxiety is even more intense in theaters.

Alison M commented on Which TV Or Movie Character Broke Your Heart When They Ended Up With Someone You Didn't Like?

Alex Karev and Izzie Stevens. That was a low blow, having him leave Jo to run back to her, especially with all she did to him and without him. This still makes me so mad. He was an amazing character who deserved all the development he built over the seasons, only to have it dashed…

Alison M commented on Which TV Or Movie Character Broke Your Heart When They Ended Up With Someone You Didn't Like?

Christina Yang! None of her romances ever felt right or stayed right, and that wasn’t her primary goal anyway. It was still hard though, in a show where everyone is finding love, to watch this brilliant, beautiful, independent woman have to repeatedly make herself smaller in the relationships…

Alison M commented on What's The Single Scariest Movie Scene From A Horror Or Non-Horror Movie?

For me, it’s that last dinner scene in The Invisible Man that scares and upsets me the most. I grew up being patented by a controlling narcissist, and when Cecilia’s husband stands there and smiles and talks sweetly to her and then (after the movie) critics debate whether he was the…
