Why it's so good: Unlike at parent companies Gap, Banana Republic, and Old Navy, you can return lightly used items anytime to receive a refund. The store offers a "give-it-a-workout guarantee" so that you can try out its performancewear and, if it doesn't meet your standards, you can get your money back.

2. Zappos

Why it's so good: Zappos provides free shipping labels for returns. But keep in mind that products have to be in their original packaging to qualify for a return.

3. Kohl's

Why it's so good: Anyone who owns a pair of L.L.Bean rain boots knows that that shit is covered FOR LIFE. According to L.L.Bean's return policy page: “If your purchase isn’t completely satisfactory, we’re happy to accept your exchange or return at any time for items purchased directly from us." Items can be exchanged or returned at any time even if you wear them into oblivion. For returns made without a receipt, you can get store credit.

Why it's so good: Nordstrom has recently changed its return policy (major bummer). According to its site, the store no longer accepts returns on special occasion dresses without tags. Also, the retailer used to offer all refunds in cash, but customers will now have to settle for store credit unless the customer paid in cash.

Why it's so good: OK, so Asos does require that your return items within 28 days of receiving them to get a refund, but you are allowed to return underwear, swimwear, and sale items (which is rare!). Also, they include a pre-paid shipping label, so the back-and-forth is on them.
