Response to I Terminated My Much-Wanted Pregnancy:
You may work with disabled children, but you are sorely uneducated when it comes to fatal fetal diagnoses that are incompatible with life. But despite that, you have no right to judge another woman when it comes to her baby and her pregnancy just like no one has a right to judge you and your pregnancies. How would you feel if someone told you that your miscarriages were your fault? That your body murdered your babies? That you must’ve done something to cause them all to die? Doesn’t feel good, does it? Then how dare you say the same to anyone who has lost a wanted child. What this woman and her husband did, what many parents have done in this type of situation, is no different than parents who decide to remove life support for their child. The only difference is the source of the life support - it being the woman who is the life support instead of a machine. In both cases the child is surrounded by love as they pass on. In both cases the parents decide it’s best to let their child go than to drag out suffering. In both cases the parents are left completely heartbroken. And for the record, it is common medical knowledge that pain nerve connections in the brain don’t happen until around the third trimester. Babies react to stimuli before then, but don’t feel pain. The writer’s baby and your babies only knew peace. Now stop being a judgmental bitch and recognize that you are both the same: mothers who have aching, empty arms.
Response to 21 Things You Should Never Say To An Atheist:
Outside of the bible, what says he existed?
I had a barracks roommate steal $1300 from me. I had just arrived to my first duty station while in the Navy, and was randomly assigned a roommate. The day I arrived I found the room in a disgusting mess, with trash, dirty clothes, and a large dried up kool-aid stain on the floor. The roommate showed up briefly and told me to pick a bed and just move her stuff to the other one, then disappeared. (It was a room with two beds, a small kitchenette, and a bathroom.) I picked a bed, started moving her stuff, and discovered disgusting, crusty underwear stuffed between the wall and the bed. Ick. I finished unpacking then went out with some friends. When I got back to the room that first night I discovered all of my things thrown all around the room. After a few days I saw the roommate again and asked her about it, and she claimed that her boyfriend had gone by the room to look for something and freaked out about my stuff. I let it go, and for several months hardly ever saw her as she stayed in her boyfriend’s room. Then one night after I got off work, I was getting ready to take a shower when she tried to get in (I had put the chain on in case she came by so she wouldn’t see me naked). I wrapped up in a towel and let her in, then ran back into the bathroom. She was there with a friend, gathering up some clothes, and left soon after I got out of the shower. I didn’t think anything of it. The next morning I was getting ready for work and couldn’t find my bank card, which I thought I had left in a neat little pile with my ID and security badge the night before on the desk. After work that night I tore the room apart trying to find my card, but couldn’t find it anywhere. The next day I got online to check my bank account and discovered $1300 gone! Long story short, the roommate had stolen my card, taken the money out, then flew back home with her boyfriend. She had an Unauthorized Absence from the Navy which turned into her being AWOL when September 11th happened, her friend that had been in my room with her turned against and testified to the NCIS about the theft, and to top it off, the stupid idiot had somehow discovered my PIN number and used ATMs to take my money, which all had cameras. Months went by when she suddenly showed up at the room to get the rest of her things. I asked her what the hell she was doing there after she’d stolen my money, she gave me some bitchy reply, and I called base security who arrested her and her boyfriend - they had turned themselves in at another base and were being sent back to face their AWOL charges, but were able to sneak back on base without anyone knowing and were trying to get the rest of their crap to take off again. Stupid bitch was slapped with a larceny charge on top of being AWOL, went to court martial, sent to the brig (Navy prison) for 30 days, and given a dishonorable discharge. Plus I got all of my money back. Fun times.
