It turns out, the Girl Scouts company uses two different bakeries to make their cookies. Both of which are cooking up two different products.

According to CNN, our favorite cookies are baked at Little Brownie Bakers, based in Louisville, Kentucky. They make Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Trefoils and Savannah Smiles.
