    The Best And Worst Places To Take A First Date

    Drinks? Coffee? Bungee jumping?

    1. Coffee Shop

    Pros:

    •You don't have to worry about getting drunk

    •Coffee is cheap and the bill is very easily split

    •Cute lil moment where one of you gets cappuccino foam on your upper lip

    Cons:

    •You can drink a coffee in two minutes flat. What are you supposed to do for the rest of the time?

    •Finding two seats together is a pain in the butt

    2. Bar

    Pros:

    •If the date is weird, you can drink

    •If the date is not weird, you can drink

    •Bartenders usually "get it" and will be extra nice to you

    Cons:

    •You'll use a weird date as an excuse to drink

    •Might get sloppy, don't say it's impossible

    3. Bar, but sexier

    Pros:

    •To clarify, this is like an expensive, sexy wine bar with leather couches and mood lighting

    •You'll feel sexier just existing

    •Did we mention the really flattering lighting?

    Cons:

    •Makes you way self-conscious

    •Like, "Are you crossing your legs right? Arch your back! Smile more, damn it" — and that kind of thing

    •Costs lots of $$$

    4. Dinner

    Pros:

    •Food is a given

    •You can learn a lot about someone by what they order at dinner

    •Look at you, all grown up!

    Cons:

    •If you get a bad vibe early on, you're stuck there if you want your food

    •Weird anxiety when the bill comes (just split it)

    •If the food sucks you will mentally associate it with your date

    5. Just walkin' around

    •Exploring a new neighborhood or a park or something

    •Conversation

    •More conversation!

    Cons:

    •Seriously, how does one end one of these dates?

    6. Cooking at one of your respective houses/apartments

    •Shows off a skill, which is always fun

    •Requires teamwork

    •Food at the end, usually nicer than the boring pasta you make by yourself

    Cons:

    •Requires a skill, which is not always present

    •Shopping for ingredients is time-consuming and should not be done together

    •If you mess up, it's all on you

    7. Movie theater

    Pros:

    •By the end of the date you will have seen a movie

    •Popcorn tastes better at the movies

    Cons:

    •You are wasting your first date sitting in the dark next to a near-stranger

    •Once the movie is over you're obligated to hear their ~opinions~

    •You might cry

    8. GHOST HUNTING

    •Major adrenaline rush from dabbling with the occult

    •Great story to tell your friends

    •The couple that hunts ghosts together, stays together

    Cons:

    •What do you do with the ghost once you find it?

    •Small chance of spiritual possession/death

    •Might have bad dreams

    9. Ice Skating

    •Cute wintery outfits

    •Hot cocoa afterwards

    •Literally nothing else

    Cons:

    •It's cold

    •Makes your legs feel weird

    10. Sports (watching)

    •If you like the same team, you already have something in common

    •IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE SAME TEAM, RUN

    13. Going to a museum

    •You feel very cultured

    •You learn cool stuff and look at art!

    Cons:

    •Getting lost in the museum is scary

    •If you want to make out, the paintings will judge you

    14. Seeing a play

    •Like seeing a movie, but better

    •Mostly because many plays have a built-in bathroom break

    •And it somehow feels less douchy to have ~opinions~ about theater

    Cons:

    •Can feel pretentious

    •DON'T SNEEZE

    15. Seeing an opera

    •So uncool it's cool

    •Also cool to bail in the middle and go get falafel

    •Because you can be like "oh we went to the opera but totally bailed to get falafel."

    Cons:

    •Expensive

    •Requires some basic knowledge of opera or else nothing makes sense

    16. A goddamn comedy show
