Response to 10 Trips You NEED To Take In Your Twenties:
Trust funds are nice, but similar to game cheats - too easy. You don’t buy profound life experiences on mastercard. As a highschooler working summers on freighters, I went to 30 countries - mostly Europe and Africa. Travelled up Congo River, ducked real bullets in Angola, crossed the Atlantic, met Fidel and Raul in Havana, fell in love in my week in Paris, rented an apartment in London, camped at a deserted Greek beach for two months and much more, all before moving to Berkeley for school the week of my 18th birthday. Just a skinny, shy, poor, fearless, ignorant kid. What can’t you do?
