Tom Holland may prefer to keep his relationship with Zendaya private — but he's spilling one major detail about why they work so well.
During an appearance on the Smartless podcast, Tom opened up about their relationship and had the sweetest things to say.
As for why they click so well as a couple, Tom says it has to do with their shared experiences.
"I'm lucky that I have someone like Zendaya in my life," Tom shared on the podcast.
He continued, "It's interesting being in a romantic relationship with someone that is in the same boat as you."
"You can share your experiences and all that sort of stuff. And that's worth its weight in gold," Tom concluded.
While Tom recently shared with The Hollywood Reporter that the couple are "incredibly protective" over their relationship, he has been more open than usual lately.
In a recent interview, he even spilled about the early days of their romance, explaining that he used his carpentry skills to impress Zendaya.
"I fixed my girlfriend's door once really early on in our relationship. I was hanging out at her house and her door was broken," he shared.
Tom continued, "I was like, 'I'm gonna fix that door for you.' And now we're in love."
