People have a lot of beef with the Sex and the City reboot, but one issue honestly sticks out.
Why did Carrie not call 911 IMMEDIATELY when she found Big collapsed in their shower?
Instead of picking up the phone to get help for Big (who was still alive BTW), she stood there seemingly forever and then held him on the floor of the shower.
Now Sarah Jessica Parker is coming to Carrie's defense, although she admits that concerned viewers did have "understandable and logical expectations" of the scene.
"I always think of that particular moment, as there have been a few in the show in its previous title, that it's suspended animation. It's this moment where everything stops," Sarah said on Watch What Happens Live.
She continued, "And then whatever collapsing of time that happens does not stop her from taking care of somebody in a fashion that you would want and expect from your partner or husband or wife."
Sarah also noted that Carrie "found the phone at some point" and "of course" called 911 in a timely fashion.
"We can walk through this together, shall we? In my head, she struggled through this moment and tried to get him to be responsive. And then she, you know, came to her senses — I'm gonna say after about two to three seconds," Sarah said.
She added, "Then, of course, she called 911 and got all the help she needed from professionals." Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough.
