Hilary Duff is reminiscing on the two weeks she got to spend on the set of the Lizzie McGuire reboot and she's still just as upset about it as everyone else.

Back in 2019, Hilary and much of the show's original cast filmed two episodes for the series, which was set to follow Lizzie as she navigated life and love in her thirties.
Fans even got a (very brief) first look at the show in early 2020:
But two months after the cast began filming, Lizzie McGuire's original show runner Terri Minsky was fired from the show and things just went downhill from there.
Disney put the reboot on hold, seeking a new direction for the series, which ended up being exactly the opposite of what Hilary had in mind.
Hilary voiced her desire to maintain the show's more mature nature, allowing her to accurately reflect life in your thirties and not force a PG rating on the series.
Despite the cast and crew holding meetings over the course of 2020 in order to "regroup," things ultimately didn't work out.

And now, three months after the show was officially canceled, Hilary is looking back on who she wanted Lizzie to be and the short time she had on set.
