Grace Helbig is opening up after being diagnosed with breast cancer last month.
The longtime YouTuber just shared the "shocking" news in a very personal video, explaining that she's been taking some time to process everything.
"I know it's very shocking. It's very surreal. It doesn't sound real, but it's real," she said to viewers.
Grace explained that during a recent visit to a gynecologist, she got the "courage" to bring up a "weird lump" in her left breast.
"Get those lumps checked and do not be afraid to ask a doctor what you might think is a stupid question," Grace shared.
After a mammogram and a biopsy, Grace learned that she has stage 2A triple-positive breast cancer — which is thankfully really treatable.
"They have said it is super treatable. It is highly beatable. We are going for cure not remission here which is exciting, encouraging, helpful, good," Grace said.
As for the next steps, Grace says she's "going to fight this little bitch of a thing in [her] left breast as best and as strongly and as gracefully" as she can.
"I'm doing okay. It was a hard few weeks after I found out, but I have the most amazing and supportive husband and family and friends," she shared.
"I'm doing well, and I'm ready to take this on, and I know I can take this on. I just have to take it one step at a time," Grace concluded.
