Gigi Hadid kicked off her vacation with a run-in with the law in the Cayman Islands.
When Gigi and some gal pals recently arrived on the island via private plane, she and one other person were arrested after cannabis was found in their luggage.
According to Cayman Marl Road, a local outlet, the group arrived at Owen Roberts International Airport on July 10.
Shortly after, custom officials allegedly found "relatively small" quantities of "ganja and utensils used for the consumption of ganja" while scanning their belongings.
Gigi and her friend were then arrested on the "suspicion of Importation of Ganja and Importation of Utensils used for the consumption of ganja."
The pair were taken to the Prisoner Detention Center but were later released on bail, pending a trial a few days later.
On July 12, Gigi and her friend were formally charged during a court appearance where they pled guilty and were both fined $1,000. They are now not facing any charges.
"Gigi was traveling with marijuana purchased legally in NYC with a medical license. It has also been legal for medical use in Grand Cayman since 2017," her rep told E! News.
The rep also noted that Gigi's record "remains clear," and she has been enjoying the rest of her trip.
Following news of her arrest being made public, Gigi seemed to address the incident on Instagram by sharing photos from the remainder of her vacation.
"All’s well that ends well🌅," Gigi captioned the collection of photos.
It doesn't look like the arrest impacted her trip at all!
