Earlier this week, Angelina made a rare public appearance with Maddox, 21, at the White House in Washington D.C.
The pair stepped out for a state dinner where President Biden was hosting South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee.
Maddox has a special connection to South Korea as he attended Yonsei University in Seoul, where he reportedly studied biochemistry.
"Asia-America relations are important to Angelina's family. She and the children have had close ties to the region, including South Korea, for many years," a source told People.
They continued, "Angelina has visited South Korea many times for her humanitarian and refugee advocacy over the past two decades, and as an artist. Angelina and Maddox are honored to attend this state dinner."
Angelina was last spotted visiting South Korea in 2019 when Maddox first started studying there.
"I could not be happier about Mad’s choice of university," Angelina said at the time. "We are all so happy, as a family, that we will have the opportunity to get to know South Korea even better through Maddox, and with him, during his studies."
Since Maddox started college in 2019, it seems like he might be graduating this year — but no word on his future plans just yet!
