Alex Fox and Rachel Lewis met in Chicago while studying and performing improv and sketch comedy at the world-renowned Second City, iO, and Annoyance Theaters. It was kismet at first laugh. Nicknaming each other Jon (Alex) and Eddie (Rachel) after their entertaining fathers, Alex and Rachel’s friendship and comedic partnership grew through their complimentary humorous stylings, and love of ethnic food. In 2008, Alex and Rachel made their way west and began performing improv and sketch comedy together as, The Jon and Eddie Show. Never ones to shy away from the ridiculous, Jon and Eddie embrace the world of the absurd through their daring physical and vocal choices. Taking the Los Angeles comedy scene by storm, this dynamic duo performed to a sold-out crowd on the Comedy Central Stage, making them MSN.com's Top 100 Things to See in LA, and BUST Magazine's Funniest Ladies in Los Angeles. In 2010, The Friars Club of New York named The Jon and Eddie Show one of the top 5 improv groups in the nation. In the same year, Alex and Rachel branched out to produce online content, making The Jon and Eddie Web Series an official selection of the Los Angeles Independent Television Festival. Today, Alex and Rachel continue to perform sketch and improv comedy as The Jon and Eddie Show, in LA as well as comedy festivals throughout the country. They have also expanded their comedic ventures beyond the stage, embracing the world of production and scripted television. Most recently, Alex and Rachel sold an original show, THE CRAFT STORE to Fremantle Media and have several other full-length projects in the works. Stay tuned!
THE CRAFT STORE follows the day-to-day foibles of the quirky employees at a small-town craft store in Pickerington, Ohio, as they struggle to survive against the impending threat of a “crafting” megastore. The Craft Store is the latest series from Jon and Eddie Productions produced for Fremantle Media’s Atomic Wedgie TV.
