This Teen Created The Viral #BussItChallenge And Put Our Knees To The Test
Thee Stallion would be proud!
Though it has become increasingly hard for most to remember the last time they put on real pants, let alone an ounce of makeup, a viral challenge comes around every so often that’ll drag the internet out of their sweats and into stilettos. This time, we have TikTok teen Erika Davila to thank for getting “Buss It” by Erica Banks stuck in all of our heads.
On January 2, Davila challenged TikTok by posting a video of herself in sweatpants, a T-shirt and jacket while asking that “someone plz do this transition but all prettied up.”
In her video, the 18-year-old shimmies toward the camera with a smooth roll of faux-dice before suddenly dropping to the beat and managing to bounce in a way that can only be described as Megan Thee Stallion-approved.
Celebs like Rico Nasty joined in, too!
“I kinda knew people would participate because I mean, it’s a ‘bad bitch challenge’ and we’re all for that,” Davila told BuzzFeed. “I noticed a few hours after I posted that people started remaking it. Then, once people told me to make a separate sound, that’s when it took off.”
Davila’s personal favorite remake was done by TikTok star and model Challxn, whose video quickly skyrocketed to 8.2 million views.
