Tessica Brown, AKA The Woman Who Styled Her Hair With Gorilla Glue, Just Dropped A Song Called "Ma Hair," And It's February 2021 All Over Again

    Tessica Brown is back!

It's hard to believe this was almost a year ago, but let me take y'all back in time to February 2021. The internet was just beginning to lull after the Jan. 6 insurrection, and then BOOM. Tessica Brown, aka the woman who sprayed her hair with Gorilla Glue instead of Got2B Glued styling glue, entered our lives.

In a video that has now been viewed over 51.9 million times on TikTok alone, Tessica shared: "My hair has been like this for about a month now. It's not by choice. No, it's not by choice... My hair, it don't move. I've washed my hair 15 times and it don't move."

And thus, the Tessica Era began. Collectively, the internet followed her saga as she took commenters' suggestions for relief by trying conditioners, oils, and products provided by doctors. The story became so massive that a Gorilla Glue representative had to release a statement on the company's Twitter page saying, "We are very sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident that Miss Brown experienced using our Spray Adhesive on her hair."

We are very sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident that Miss Brown experienced using our Spray Adhesive on her hair. We are glad to see in her recent video that Miss Brown has received medical treatment from her local medical facility and wish her the best.

Finally, plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Obeng offered to help Tessica free of charge, and the 40-year-old was freed!

Now that we're all caught up on this important bit of American history, let's get to today's news, which is: Tessica dropped a song on TikTok titled "Ma Hair."

*Yes.* There is now a song and dance challenge — both created by Tessica — that will memorialize her stuck hair.

And we ~could~ have had Nicki Minaj on the track. Back in May, Mrs. Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty released her song "Fractions" featuring the line, "Head game slicker than little miss Gorilla Glue," in reference to Tessica's debacle. Well, Tessica apparently tried to return the favor by asking Minaj to drop a few bars on "Ma Hair." However, according to TMZ, Tessica's manager, Gina Rodriguez, said Nicki never responded to the request.

Upon hearing the news, people flooded Tessica's comment section on TikTok, insinuating that the time to release a song has long passed:

One person said "It's been a year ma'am [skull emoji]" and another wrote "girl we've moved on"

Regardless, the haircare brand owner turned musician has amassed over 3.1 million views on her "Ma Hair" dance challenge video and 51,000 views on her song's YouTube video, which you can listen to in full below:
