It had cost him £160, but he'd won her the dog.

Mariem told BuzzFeed: "It was overwhelming. He'd lost so many times, I could see the frustration on his face. I knew he was happy when he came back. He's always doing little romantic gestures like that."
The pair have been married only a short while and she said the sudden change had been "crazy, but nice".
