Good morning, here is a hot man with a bowl of mashed chickpeas in his hand.
Here's another hot man. Look at his delicious dip. It's probably got olive oil...and tahini...and LEMON JUICE.
So what's going on here? Well, this account was set up by four students studying in Israel: Orly Geduld, 22, Betty Ilovici, 21, Israel Zari, 25, and Ayala Lesser, 22.
Geduld told BuzzFeed: "We wanted to highlight a positive aspect of the country, away from the conflict – something which unfortunately is not done enough, whether in media coverage, or other aspects of the private sphere."
She described the account as a "branding campaign for Israel to shed some light on the humor, diversity, fun, beauty, and culture that are so vibrant and rich in this country."
Geduld said the majority of the hot men in the account are random Israeli men who they approach when they see them eating hummus at the beach or at cafes, while others are their friends, or are submitted by followers of the account.
She said: "We are really surprised by the viral success of the account! It started as a school project and it has morphed into something much larger than we had imagined."
"My co-creators and I are more than thrilled that Hot Dudes and Hummus is getting a lot of buzz and appreciate the opportunity to create a positive and fun association with Israel through this account," she added.
